Waterway Events and Meetings

The following is a list of waterway events that were due to take place within approximately 50 miles of Southampton. Hopefully you can find something to interest you. Whilst every effort is made to ensure the correctness of this information, please check with the listed contact who will be glad to supply further details of that event.

If YOU know of an event taking place that you feel should be in this list, but isn't, then please contact the Web Site Manager.

Ordnance Survey grid references and/or postcodes have been added (where known but not guaranteed) to aid location of the event.

Please note that all links on this page will open a new window.

Coronavirus pandemic

As a result of the pandemic and the related restrictions put in place by the Government, the organisers of the events listed below may well have cancelled them. How long these curbs will last is unknown at present (26 September 2020) but contacts are given below so that checks can be made about the resumption of their meetings / events. Where notice is given on the organiser’s websites of the cancellation or postponement, this is given below. Absence of such a notice is NOT evidence that the event will definitely proceed.

The committee of the Southampton Canal Society has agreed that all scheduled meetings of the Society will be cancelled until further notice - at least until the New Year. The Society’s secretary should be able to supply up-to-date information. It was intended that the Society’s Annual General Meeting, due in July, would be postponed until 1st October. However, this has been put off yet again until November - see the front page of the August Newsletter for further details.

Although the lockdown had been eased in a number of ways, it seems that gatherings of more than six people indoors or outdoors are still to be avoided. So it is still unknown at this stage (26 September) when the meetings and events advertised on this page can recommence.
