Society Meetings and Events

Our meetings are normally held on the first Thursday of each month at 7.45pm. These meetings are open to all - non-members are welcome with no admission charges (except for special events). Tea and coffee are available at the interval and a raffle is held to help defray costs.

We usually assemble for our monthly meetings at Chilworth Village (or Parish) Hall, Chilworth Road, Chilworth, Southampton, SO16 7JZ. (OS Map Ref: SU410184). This hall is to the north of Southampton, lying just off the A27 Bassett to Romsey road next to the Chilworth Arms (formerly called the Clump Inn). Thu 5 Mar 2020 7.45pm CHANGE OF MEETING: Our previously advertised speaker is unable to give his talk but a replacement has been booked:
“Happy in Holland.” Rob Dean, President of the K&A Canal Trust, will talk about cruising in Holland in 2016/17.
Thu 2 Apr 2020 7.45pm Southern French Waterways. Member Jon Van de Geer will take us on a journey along the Canal du Rhône à Sète, the Petite Rhône, on an excursion to Carcassonne and a trip along the Canal du Midi.
Thu 7 May 2020 NO MEETING. As always, there is NO May meeting.
